Welcome to our 2-Day Creative Collage Course!

Unleash Your Creativity Through Collage Art

Are you ready to embark on a creative journey that combines imagination, artistry, and self-expression? Join us for a transformative 2-day Creative Collage Course where you’ll dive into the world of collage art and discover the joy of bringing together elements to create something uniquely yours.

Spend the weekend in my studio with me creating your own collage papers & learning how you can apply your papers to create your own Collage Journal. This is a wonderful way to explore composition skills & colour theory, an essential practice for artists & creatives.

Course Overview:

Day 1: Exploring the Basics

 Introduction to Collage Art

  • Explore different types of collage techniques and styles.
  • Learn about the essential tools and materials.

Getting Hands-On

  • Engage in guided exercises to familiarize yourself with basic collage principles.
  • Experiment with paper, patterns, textures, printing techniques and compositions.
  • Creating themes & adding hand finished elements.
  • Exploring what makes a ‘good’ collage paper.

Day 2: Creating Your Collage Journal

  • Learning application techniques.
  • Explore layering, juxtaposition, and mixed media elements.
  • Making best use of collage ‘scraps’.
  • Build your own Collage Journal.
  • Learn how to incorporate found objects and unconventional materials into your collages.
  • Discover techniques to add depth and dimension to your creations.
  • Receive personalized guidance and tips from me.
  • Tea, Coffee, Cake and biscuits….

We thoroughly employed our neuropathic class with Rebekah! She’s got a really welcoming studio, and a comfortable way of explaining so that anyone feels like they can create this awesome type of art! We had our 9 year old with us, and Rebekah had him at total ease, and he was really proud of what he created! We’ll certainly be back on another course soon!

Booked the journal course last year and thoroughly enjoyed it, so much so that I continued with the fortnightly journal club. Rebekah is a fantastic teacher, encouraging, patient and always helpful. She helped build up my creative confidence so I tried the gelli monoprint course, which was so much fun. I couldn't recommend her enough if you want to start your art journey. 5 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We had a fantastic day on Rebekah’s Art Journaling course. I really enjoy art and craft, but with no great talent for drawing or painting, the results aren’t always great. With Rebekah and her mum’s guidance and support, however, I have the beginnings of an art journal I’m really pleased with! Rebekah took us through all the techniques we needed, and having asked us in advance about our interests, had prepared personalised items for our journals, as well as providing a huge range of crafting materials. Rebekah and her mum are enthusiastic and friendly, and gave us the confidence to experiment with something completely new to us. Thank you!

My art day course which included art journaling and mono printing was a very good course. I wasn’t confident with one of my prints but Rebekah was very encouraging and showed me how to make it work for me with doodling and stencilling. It completely changed the print and I was able to use it. Rebekah was very helpful and was willing to give me a step by step approach until I felt confident enough . I came home very satisfied with my achievements and I will make some of my prints into cards. I would highly recommend this day course . The day went very quickly, the gallery was calm , very inviting and Rebekah who was very approachable explained geli printing and mono printing techniques very well. Thank you
